Teddy Bear Halloween dress and hat

The days are getting chilly and autumn is almost here so its a good time to think about the next event in the calendar Halloween.
This dress and hat is based on a pattern I made for Barbie (available as a free download on Ravelry)
The dress is a simple feather and fan stitch at the hem and garter stitch for the bodice.  Using garter stitch means there is no need to knit fussy neck and arm edges.  The dress was fairly simple to design but the hat was a bit tricky.  As you know Teddy Bear heads are an unusual shape so its not easy to design a hat that actually stays in place.  I tried sewing on elastic hair bands,  making  holes for the ears (not a good look for a witches hat!) Then came up with this pattern which stays in place if slightly askew or can be pulled down over the ears.
My model is Build a Bear Lil Cub 15" but if you bear is small or larger you could easily adjust the pattern.
Please let me know how find this pattern and post a photo on Ravelry.

Teddy Aran Jacket and Ugg boots

I had a 100g of Aran yarn after making an Aran Jacket so decided to make this little jacket and boots for my bear.
It's an easy pattern, ideal for beginners.  with only 6 rows of pattern and simple cables.   I'd already made some knitted shoes (see my other posts) so it wasn't too difficult to adapt that pattern for the boots.  A faux fur trim would look good or maybe a few small pompoms

Barbie two colour sundress and bag

Here's another sundress for Barbie.  This is a version on my earlier sundress but I've jazzed it up a bit.  I've also added a hairband - just make enough chains to fit round the doll's head then work a round of dc.

The dress is a pull on, great for small hands, has a shaped bodice and worked in one piece from the top down. Make sure the bodice is a tight fit so it stays put, or you could make straps as in my other summer dress pattern.

Please leave me a comment if you make this item  - i value feedback.

To fit: 12” Barbie or other fashion dolls

Materials: approx 30g 4ply yarn main colour. 20g of contrast colour
Crochet hook 3mm and 3.25mm hook (or size to match tension)
