Annabell crochet dress and hat

I love this doll.  Not only is she as cute as a button but her outfits are so quick and easy to make.  The pattern for this dress has been borrowed from both my teddy bear dress and barbie dress (both on this site).  The only thing I had to do was work out was the stitches for sizing etc and whether to copy the format of Ted's dress by doing the bodice first then attaching the skirt or starting fresh and simplify the pattern by starting at the neck and working down.  I decided to try the neck down method, with the bodice done in dc (US sc) rounds and the skirt in an easy cluster pattern.  The matching hat is worked from the crown down.

As always if you find any mistakes or have any problems with this pattern please let me know.

Barbie two colour sundress and bag

Here's another sundress for Barbie.  This is a version on my earlier sundress but I've jazzed it up a bit.  I've also added a hairband - just make enough chains to fit round the doll's head then work a round of dc.

The dress is a pull on, great for small hands, has a shaped bodice and worked in one piece from the top down. Make sure the bodice is a tight fit so it stays put, or you could make straps as in my other summer dress pattern.

Please leave me a comment if you make this item  - i value feedback.

To fit: 12” Barbie or other fashion dolls

Materials: approx 30g 4ply yarn main colour. 20g of contrast colour
Crochet hook 3mm and 3.25mm hook (or size to match tension)

Abbreviations:  Dc: double crochet (US single crochet), tr: treble crochet, (US double crochet), htr: half treble, ch: chain, slst: slip stitch.

Barbie crochet summer dress and hat

The pattern is for a dress for Barbie worked in continuous rounds from the top down.

I used Patons 4ply soft cotton so its important to check tension if using a different 4ply yarn as any slight variation can make a big difference in the size. Crochet cotton is not suitable as its too fine.

The dress is very close fitting and fits the latest Barbie model.  For a larger fashion doll add a few extra dc at the beg.

The design takes about 25g of yarn with 10g in each contrast colour
This is a great design to use up all those small bits of yarn in your stash.  I used shoelace ribbon for the hat but a crochet chain would work too.

If you make this dress and hat and have any queries or find any mistakes please let me know.

To fit: 12” Barbie (the latest model)
Materials:  25g 4ply yarn in main, and 2 contrast (I used Patons Soft Cotton 4ply)
Crochet hook no 3.00 and 3.50 (or size to match tension). Small length of narrow ribbon
Tension: (Gauge) 24sts x 26 rows to 4” over dc using 3.50 hook (check your tension and use suitable size hook)
Abbreviations:
Dc: double crochet (US single crochet), tr: treble crochet, (US double crochet), htr: half tr,  ch: chain, slst: slip stitch, inc: increase
Notes:
This dress is a close fit so any differences in yarn weight will make a smaller or larger garment.  Cotton thread is not suitable.
Work through the back loop only for a softer fabric for the bodice and through both loops when working clusters
Place a marker at the beginning of each round to keep track of number of rounds

Barbie crochet prom dresses

Its been a while since I made anything for Barbie so I had a look in my stash and found some oddments of 4ply yarn.  I had forgotten I had the sparkly pink yarn so what else to make but a prom dress.   The metallic colour yarn is Sirdar Firefly which I bought ages ago as it was on offer, with the idea that it might come in useful for a scarf but it makes an interesting skirt for the dress.
The dresses are made from the top down so are easy to put on Barbie.  The only problem is you have to be very careful as her feet can get caught in the crochet.  I usually hold her feet as I pull the dress on.

The bodice is shaped at the rear (as photo) so the skirt is lower at the back - I was shopping with my daughter and granddaughter looking at prom dresses a few weeks ago and noticed that lots of them have this type of shaping.  The dress is very tight fitting so be careful with tension- but as these little garments are so quick to make it takes no time pull work out and start again!

Any Ravelers out there - if you make the dress please post a photo and link to the pattern

If you find any mistakes are have problems with the pattern please leave me a comment.

Teddy bear crochet jacket

My crochet teddy dress pattern has been very popular so I thought I'd have a go at a crochet jacket.
The sleeves are made first then the main body is made in one piece to armholes. The yoke is crocheted across the right front, sleeve, back, sleeve then left front and continued in rows.  I work the dc through the font loops only to made a softer fabric.

All teddy bears are different sizes - my models are a 14" bear i picked up in a charity shop and  build a bears lil cub is 15" and the bunny is 17".  The pattern is easy to alter to fit your bear - just increase the rows on the sleeves or body.  You could also add an extra decrease row at the neck edge if you want.

I've had a few problems writing this pattern in both sizes so if you find any mistake or typos please leave a message so I can amend it.

Any Ravelers out there - I would love to see a photo of your project linked to this pattern.
