Teddy Bear Halloween dress and hat

The days are getting chilly and autumn is almost here so its a good time to think about the next event in the calendar Halloween.
This dress and hat is based on a pattern I made for Barbie (available as a free download on Ravelry)
The dress is a simple feather and fan stitch at the hem and garter stitch for the bodice.  Using garter stitch means there is no need to knit fussy neck and arm edges.  The dress was fairly simple to design but the hat was a bit tricky.  As you know Teddy Bear heads are an unusual shape so its not easy to design a hat that actually stays in place.  I tried sewing on elastic hair bands,  making  holes for the ears (not a good look for a witches hat!) Then came up with this pattern which stays in place if slightly askew or can be pulled down over the ears.
My model is Build a Bear Lil Cub 15" but if you bear is small or larger you could easily adjust the pattern.
Please let me know how find this pattern and post a photo on Ravelry.

Teddy Pumpkin Sweater

Summers over - what summer we had here in dear old blighty - and my thoughts have turned to patterns for the coming seasons.  So first up here is a cute little pumpkin sweater for Ted  for Halloween.

The sweater is knit in double knitting yarn and takes about 75g of main colour with small amounts of orange, black and green.

The pumpkin motif is made using the intarsia (colour block) method and if anyone is new to this here is a great tutorial

Intarsia for dummies

I've also used a duplicate stitch for decorating the mouth, eyes, nose and mouth here's another link for this technique      duplicate stitch you tube

Please let me know if you find and mistakes on the pattern or have any queries. And when you've made the sweater please put a photo on Ravelry and link to my pattern.  Thanks
