    1. Lots of my visitors are saying that my patterns have helped during lockdown, especially when many can't see their grandchildren so often but feel comforted by knitting dolls clothes for them. My grandchildren are past the doll stage unfortunately but the oldest asked me to knit her a jacket so that is keeping me busy. And of course, I love to hear from all you knitters out there. :)

  11. These are super patterns. You're very clever working them out1 Thank you so much for them. My 2 youngest granddaughters love their Annabel and George babies and my daughter, their mum, said they could do with more clothes for them, so these wonderful knits are perfect. I've already knitted 4 of them and about to start on some more. With birthdays and Christmas coming up they are brilliant presents. Thank you again.

  13. I love your patterns but am struggling to understand how to do the shaping for the dolls leggings when it says start the row at centre back. Not sure if I have to break off the wool & rejoin.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I have sent you an email about this. If you haven't received it please let me know.

The 'rows start at centre back' is for information only so you know where the back of the leggings are. Just continue with the pattern from row 1 of the shaping.

Your generosity is priceless - many ladies who love to crochet cannot afford to buy patterns nowadays and your and you show how much you care. If it is possible, I would love to buy you coffee!

  24. Do your baby doll patterns fit American Girl dolls?

    ReplyDelete

    1. The baby doll patterns aren't a good fit for American dolls. But I've just bought 2 18in dolls and adapting my patterns to fit them. Is there any particular baby doll pattern that you are interested in?

  25. My 4 year old granddaughter has asked me to knit some clothes for her Baby Woody who is a older Baby Annabel, I have measured her/him as being 13”/34cm but could be 35cm as I only went to ankle not end of food as it bent round. Are any of the patterns suitable, didn’t realise it was going to be so much of a problem sizing a doll. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    1. What I suggest is start with a fairly simple pattern like the baby Annabel knitted jacket and check for fit as you go. Or perhaps, go down a needle size. The patterns are very quick to make up so not such a bother to knit again if you have to. Also, budget yarns are usually a bit thicker than other yarns and will make the item larger. Hope this helps.

    2. I had thought that but I can’t measure as I go as I am in Essex and the doll is in the Lake District so will just have to knit it and see whether it fits. I was aiming to use some of the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino I have left from a ripple blanket. Thank you for your help. Ann
